Safe Computing 101 - Backups
Always be sure you have current backups of any important information on your computer. This could include e-mail archives, family photos, financial information and much more. How often you make backups depends on how much you are willing to lose. In some cases, it is just a matter of re-creating lost information. Other times it is irreplaceable. If you have a computer that's more than five years old, the chances of disk failure increase greatly.
Regular backups are an important part of smart computing. Don't wait until something happens to start backing up your computer regularly.
